Irish showjumping breeders were among the recipients at the Horse Sport Ireland Breeders Awards 2014 yesterday. Special Lux's breeders Des and Seamus Judge (Co Mayo) were awarded for the 'Highest placed showjumping rookie in the WBFSH rankings 2014' and Ard Ginger Pop's breeder Heather Dean Wright (Meath) was awarded for the 'Highest Placed ISH at the FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses, Lanaken 2014'.
The breeders of the winning horses on the Nations Cup team in Odense also received awards. Dougie Douglas' breeder John O'Brien (Co. Limerick), Santa Cruise II's breeder Hartwell Stud (Co. Kildare), A Touch Imperious' breeder Leo Rice (Co. Monaghan) and Touchable's breeder Dr. Noel Cawley (Co. Kildare) were all on the recipient list.
