Legendary Dobbel's Cento passed away

The legendary grey stallion, Dobbel's Cento (f. Capitol I) has passed away aged 28-years-old. Dobel's Cento jumped together an impressive career under the saddle of Germany's Otto Becker. Together with the current German teamchef, Dobbel's Cento teamed up over 11 years in the sport. The pair claimed the Olympic Gold medal in 2000 in Sydney and were part of the golden European Championships team. In 2000 the combination also jumped to glory in the Aachen Grand Prix. Further they also won the 2002 worldcup finals. In 2006 the stallion retired from the sport. In a reaction to Pferd Aktuell, Becker stated the stallion had a pneumonia, on which the team had to make the hard decision to let the sire have an eternal sleep.
