Marco Kutscher’s Clenur to Cian O’Connor

Cian O’Connor announced on Monday, December 11, 2017 the addition to his stables of Clenur, an 11-year-old OS gelding (Carinue x Francesca). The talented gelding was previously ridden by Germany’s Marco Kutscher, who helped Germany to a memorable win at this summer’s CSIO5* Mercedes Benz Nations Cup on home turf in Aachen. Kutscher and Clenur most recently competed in Doha, Qatar at the Longines Global Champions Tour series finale. Clenur was previously ridden at the FEI level by his former owner, Armin Himmelreich of Germany. Ireland’s O’Connor, who is currently finishing out his season in Europe before moving to his United States base for the winter, commented; “The 11 yr old bay gelding will be joining my team of horses that travel to Wellington next week. Formally ridden by Germany’s Marco Kutscher with great success, I look forward to developing a solid partnership together for next season.”
