A total of ten combinations qualified for the Jump-Off in the 1.55m Grand Prix Qualifier in Hamburg. Only the top five riders managed to set a double clear. In the end it was Germany's Mario Stevens jumping to victory aboard his 10-year-old Starissa.
Aboard his 10-year-old daughter by Stakkato Gold, Stevens jumped to victory in 48,83 seconds. With about 0,2 seconds difference compatriot, Hans-Dieter Dreher followed with the 11-year-old Elysium (VDL Zirocco Blue).
The stage was completed by Ireland's Shane Breen and Quick Star Kervec (Quick Star). The pair was followed by Johannes Ehnin (GER) aboard the 10-year-old Classic Donna (Mylord Carthago).
Dutch rider, Lars Kersten completed the top five with his trusted 14-year-old Emmerton (Silvio I).
