Myrtille to retire

France’s 2013 European Champion Castle Forbes Myrtille Paulois is to be retired from the sport following an announcement made by reigning European Champion Roger Yves Bost. The official retirement ceremony for the 14 year old mare owned by Lady Georgina Forbes will take place at Equita Lyon in November of this year. The amazing Castle Forbes Myrtille Paulois enjoyed a very successful career, winning the individual gold medal for France at the European Championships in Herning, Denmark among other outstanding achievements. These include the CSI5* World Cup in Helsinki in 2012, the CSI5* Equita Masters in Lyon in 2012, the CSI5* Grand Prix in Basel in 2012 as well as being on the winning the Furusiyya Nations Cup in Rotterdam, Holland this summer with Team France. Castle Forbes Myrtille Paulois will now enjoy a luxurious retirement and partake in the Castle Forbes Breeding program. A statement on Roger Yves Bost’s Facebook page quoted;”Myrtille put her stamp on Bosty’s life and offered Bosty the gift of his career, the precious gold medal at the European Championships. Forever, she will have an important place in his heart. A page has been turned. Thank you all for your support.”
