The Olympic stallion, Vivant van de Heffinck is sold to Ireland. The approved sire retired from the sport last year. Now the Coolballyshan Stud, based in Ireland has acquired the stallion. "We are delighted with the arrival of Vivant," states Kieran Kennedy from the Stud. "Vivant is a perfect addition to our string of stallions and will offer new opportunities for the Irish and international breeding." Together with Australian show jumping rider Chris Chugg Vivant jumped together many international successes. The pair placed 21st at the World Equestrian Games in 2010 in Kentucky. That same year they also placed seventh at the worldcup finals in Geneva. In 2012 the stallion was a par of the Olympic Ukraine team with Katharina Offel in the saddle. Two years later, Cassio Rivetti jumped to the eight place at the World Championships.
