Organisation Vienna Masters declared bankrupt

There were no Vienna Masters this year, a missing top event on the international agenda. The Austrian firm DFG Event GmbH, the organiser of the Vienna Masters has been declared bankrupt. In 2016 the event had to relocate to Krieau after it was decided it could no longer continue on the Wiener Rathausplats. The loss that year was estimated at app. 340.000 euro. Since 2012 the company has been confronted with some bad events, making the losses collecting each year. In the beginning third parties covered the debts, however with a total estimate of almost 1.5 million euro in debt, the company has now been declared bankrupt
