The French international show jumping competition in Béthune concluded with the CSI2* Grand Prix. It was a close call as the French almost claimed the spoils on home soil, however they didn't count on Rene Lopez in the saddle of the 13-year-old Con Dios III (by Romino). Colombia's Lopez stopped the clock in 39.09 seconds and stayed ahead on France's Nicolas Delmotte with over a second. Delmotte followed as runner-up in the saddle of the Belgian bred Darmani van t Heike (by Grandeur). Delmotte crossed the finish in 40.51 seconds and was followed by his compatriot Max Thirouin. Thirouin and Utopie Villelongue (by Mylord Carthago) made a chrono in 42.16 seconds and were followed by Italy's Daniele Augusto Da rios with For Passion (by For Pleasure). Only these four combinations produced a clear round in the Jump-Off. It was Belgium's Dries Dekkers who completed the top five aboard the 10-year-old BWP-son of Griseldi, D&J Havanna.
