Romain Duguet and Twenty two des Biches on top in Samorin

Twenty two returned to the jump-off track, with Switzerland’s Romain Duguet securing the win and lion’s share of €61,500 in prize money aboard Twentytwo des Biches (Mylord Carthago x Kalor Du Bocage).

“It is always great to win something. Im really happy, my horse jumped fantastic,” said Duguet. “I know I had to be really fast to win, but my horse did not dissapoint me and together, we made it.” For 1st place honors, Duguet piloted the ten-year-old Selle Francais mare to a leading time of 39.18s. “I find this show really super. The atmosphere here is unbelievable, and both the horses and the riders are happy here. I really hope I will be able to come here once again,” commented Duguet on the state-of-the art venue.  Belgium’s Constant van Paesschen finished as runner up, crossing the timers in 39.72s aboard the ten-year-old Holsteiner gelding Compadre van de Helle. Poland’s Jaroslaw Skrzyczunski and the eight-year-old Oldenburg gelding Silver Shine closed out the podium placings in 40.59s. The full results can be viewed here.
