Simon Delestre and Sultan de Beaufour part ways

France's show jumping rider, Simon Delestre has part ways with his top horse, Sultan de Beaufour. The 12-year-old VDL Cardento-son teamed up with Delestre in February this year. Together the combination placed at the CSI5* Saut Hermès in Paris and the Global Champions Tour competitions of Madrid and Estoril, as well as won the 1.50m at the CSIO5* in La Baule. The SF-gelding will return to his former rider, Inigo Lopez de la Osa Escribano. "I'm so happy with your return," states the rider. Before Delestre took over the reins, Sultan was ridden by Escribano since his seven years of age.
