Storm at Tsjech showjumping series

Last week-end disaster happened at the Tsjech show jumping cup in Ptyrovskym. Around 6 am a tornado destroyed one of the tents with 30 horses stabled in it. The storm destroyed everything on its path, lucky there is only material damage. All horses, grooms and riders were kept unharmed. Thanks to the team work of all people, present at the show, the horses were kept safe in the other tents or were able to run away. The horses who escaped the tents themselves were caught about 6 hours after the storm passed the area. In the end nobody got hurt and the schedule continued as planned.  Eventually it was Ales Opatrny who claimed victory in this leg of the Tsjech show jumping series. Winning the 1m45 Grand Prix aboard Zandiro, after a clear jump-off in 42.64 seconds. From the 36 starters only 10 combinations finished clear in the first round.
