Black Jack,a nine-year-old graded Westphalian showjumper will be standing the 2015 season at Twemlows Stud in Shropshire. The black stallion has proven parentage being by the Olympic showjumper Cornet Obolensky, out of a mare by the thoroughbred Heraldik. Cornet Obolensky, winner of 2011 European team gold under Marco Kutscher is the sire of 60 licensed sons and many international showjumpers and is currently the number 2 in the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) showjumping sire ranking. Black Jack’s dam Helanka is by Heraldik – number 2 in the WBFSH eventing sire ranking – sire of several international medal winning event horses including Butts Abraxxas, Happy Times and FBW Halunke, with Michael Jung the 2013 European gold medallist. Helanka also brings the blood of the famous Hanoverian sire Grannus through his son Grando. Tenareze an eight-year-old French-bred and graded Anglo Arab (AA), has the unique accolade of winning the World Young Horse three-day event championships for two successive years as a six and seven-year-old under his former rider Thomas Carlile. Now under British ownership he will be ridden by leading British event rider Harry Meade.Tenareze is by the SHBGB graded sire Jaguar Mail (Hand in Glove xx – Laudanum xx) – sire of SHBGB graded stallion Britannia’s Mail – out of an Anglo Arab mare by the leading AA sire Quatar du Plape – sire of several international event horses and showjumpers.
