Germany takes the lead in current Eventing EC leaderboard

It was a thrilling second day at the European Championships Eventing in Luhmühlen. The second day of dressage was on the schedule for today, and the expected changes in the leaderboard did happen. The two German top riders showed their best in front of the home crowd and took the lead in the individual and team ranking. This also thanks to the great test of Michael Jung.

Quick results:

1. Germany - 68.9 penalties
2. UK - 85,7 penalties
3. Belgium - 90,9 penalties

It was Michael Jung who impressed the judges with his dressage test aboard fischerChipmunk FRH (Contendro I); they scored a total of 20.9 penalties. That was enough for the individual first place. Fellow countrywoman Ingrid Klimke followed with SAP Hale Bob OLD (Helikon) in the second place with 22.2 penalties, which puts Germany in the leading position in the team ranking.

The British rider team holds the second place. Kristina Cook and Oliver Townend rode very well today with Billy the Red (Balou du Rouet) and Cooley Master Class (Ramiro B). The Belgian team is in the third position.

Individual

Jung and fischerChipmunk FRH are in first place, followed by Klimke and Hale Bob. UK's Laura Collett and London 52 are in the third position.
