The Nations Cup in Sopot was just won by the Belgian team! Koen Vereecke, Gudrun Patteet, Wilm Vermeir and Niels Bruynseels were allowed to climb the highest scaffold. Argentina followed in second place, Germany concluded the podium.

In the first round, Argentina led the standings. The four riders maintained a zero score, with only five penalty points for Mariano Ossa and the Zangersheide Elton van het Exelhof Z. That result was dropped, giving them the leadership position with ease.

Belgium followed in second place after the first round. Niels Bruynseels suffered a jumping fault with Matador (by Emerald) and Wilm Vermeir also finished on Crescendo MB Z (by Clinton) with five penalty points. Vermeir's result was dropped, Belgium came in second with a total of four penalties but the fastest combined time.

Winners of the arduous Longines Grand Prix, Koen Vereecke and Lector vd Bisschop were again unerring today. The duo finished both rounds with a zero score! Niels Bruynseels got another eight penalty points behind his name in the second round on Matador (by Emerald). After Gudrun Patteet also made no mistakes over the entire line with Sea Coast Enjoy Z, Belgium took the lead, with only four penalty points for now.

Wilm Vermeir was our country's last rider with Crescendo MB Z. The duo was also charged with a jumping fault in the second round, leaving our country with eight penalty points after the two rounds but maintaining their leading position.

The Argentine team, which was in the lead in the first round, concluded this Nations Cup with nine penalty points, missing by a hair a chance of victory. The German team, like Switzerland, had 12 penalty points but their combined time gave them the bronze.
