With about a second difference Jack Whitaker followed as runner-up. The Great-Britain show jumping rider followed on stage aboard his 10-year-old daughter of Scendix, Scenletha. The stage was completed by Paolo Paini with the 14-year-old Ottava Meraviglia di ca' San G (For Pleasure).
Said's compatriot Mohamed Talaat placed fourth with Darshan (Diamant de Semilly), while Germany's Jörg Naeve completed the top five aboard his 15-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare, HH Fleur (Darco).
