Today the so-called Corona cat appeared in Belgium: a cat that got infected with Corona in some way. The cat had breathing- and digestion problems. Last week we wrote that the Corona virus is not dangerous for horses, but does that change with the sick cat now?
The answer remains no. The coronacat is only the third animal world wide that got infected with the Corona virus. Besides that, the cats symptoms weren't as bad as the symptoms of a human with Corona. The virus is not dangerous for horses, as Tom Mariën of Equitom explains in this video. People ARE adviced to be careful with other pets such as cats and dogs and to not let them lick your face.
