Alain Jufer moves to Steve Guerdat

Alain Jufer and world-number-one show jumping rider, Steve Guerdat will start working together. Jufer quits his 15-year-old partnership with Gian-Battista Lutta. "I can't thank Gian-Battista Lutta enough for all the nice opportunities I had," states Jufer.

In Elgg, Alain Jufer is joining Steve Guerdat as well as another Jura native, Anthony Bourquard. Alain's horses are stabled in one of the barns that Steve had leased until now. He has 5 horses in his current string that have been entrusted to him by the Mühlebach family, including Daimler (Canturano), who was ridden by Werner Muff in Tryon. It’s a great opportunity for the talented rider, who took 6th place in the CHI Geneva Grand Prix in 2014.

"Being independent has always been my biggest wish," explained Alain Jufer. I said to myself that with the support of these owners, it was time to try my luck. So I decided to take the plunge. Two years ago, Steve offered for me to move here to Elgg, but I wasn't ready. When I decided to take the plunge earlier this year, Steve reiterated his offer. What's great about this opportunity is that Steve will be able to bring a lot to me in terms of sport, and for my part, I can give him a hand on the business side and with coaching clients."
