The Rai in Amsterdam just saw the Rai Amsterdam Prize jumped. It was a 1m45 ranking class in which there was a direct race against the clock. For a long time it looked like Jana Wargers would take the win. With Chacco's Lady 2 (by Chacco-Blue- she was in the lead for a long time, but Matthew Sampson was out of the question. He had to enter the ring last with Mgh Candy Girl (by Sligo Candy Boy), his little mare, and did what seemed impossible up to that point; shave Wargers' time. Sampson counted on his 11-year-old mare's fast canter and clocked off in 61.43 seconds with no faults. Their performance immediately earned them a standing ovation from the Amsterdam audience. The duo also managed to win the 1m40 earlier this week.
Jana Wargers and Chacco's Lady 2 (by Chacco-Blue) thus had to make do with second place. The German combination managed to keep the clear and clocked off in 63.02 seconds. Denis Lynch and Cornets Iberio (by Cornet Obolensky) completed the podium in third place. They recorded a nice clear round in 63.12 seconds.
Frank Schuttert became the best Dutchman in fourth place. He counted on Django Semilly (by Nartago) to jump a clear round in 64.33 seconds. Bryan Balsiger and Ermindo W (by Singapore) completed the top five.
