André Thieme conquers the 1.55m City of Barcelona Trophy

It are late days for the riders in Barcelona. On Friday evening the 1.55m  'City of Barcelona Trophy' was the main class offering 96.000 euro in earnings. Over two rounds it was eventually 2021 European Champion, André Thieme who conquered the class aboard Conacco.

The 1.55m class was competed over two rounds. Ten combinations managed to produce a clear first round, nine returned for the second round. First at the start was André Thieme with the 11-year-old Conacco (Conoglio), setting a clear round in 49.93 seconds.

Dutch Harrie Smolders was the second rider to set a double clear as fifth at the start. Together with his 14-year-old Dolinn (Cardento)  he finished in 51,34 seconds, eventually placing as runner-up. France's Megane Moissonnier followed as third clear with Cordial (Casall).


Thieme wins the plus 30.000 euro first place

André Thieme won the class and was followed on stage by Harrie Smolders and Megane Moissonnier. Outside the top three it is Jose Francisco Mesquita Musa placing fourth with Catch Me Marathon (Contagio). Belgium's Vice-World Champion, Jérome Guery completed the top five with Azaria Dinero (Mylord Carthago*HN).
