Andreas Schou wins 1.60m CSIO5* Grand Prix of Sopot

In Sopot topsport was offered in the 1.60m CSIO5* Grand Prix. In two round a total of eight combinations managed to produce a double clear. Eventually it was Andreas Schou who speeded to victory with his 11-year-old Independent. The Danish showjumping rider and his son of Diamant de Revel advanced on Germany's Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmerman and the 10-year-old Messi van't Ruytershof.

The 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding is a son of Plot Blue. Together with Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmerman the pair referred Switzerland's Niklaus Schurtenberger and  Quincassi (Quintero) to a third place in this CSIO5* Grand Prix.

Germany's Philipp Weishaupt guided his 15-year-old Asathir (Diamant de Semilly) faultless to the fourth spot while France's Edward Levy completed the top five aboard Catchar Mail (Diamant de Semilly).
