The Belgium show jumping squad has won the first qualifier of the FEI Longines Nations Cup finals in Barcelona, as it seems team Belgium is set to prolong their title this year.

With a total of four points Belgium is the first in the lead for the title. Both Olivier Philippaerts with H&M Extra (Berlin) and Gregory Wathelet aboard MJT Nevados S (Calvados S) produced a clear round in this Nations Cup round. Pieter Devos (Jade v Bisschop) and Jérome Guery (Quel Homme de Hus) jumped one rail down.
With four points team Belgium advanced on France, collecting five points. Only Pénélope Leprévost and Vancouver de Lanlore (Toulon) managed to keep the rails untouched. Sweden follows in a third place in ex aequo with Colombia.
Also Ireland, Germany, Switzerland and Italy qualify for the ultimate finals on Sunday.
