Bettendorf takes winning start in CSI5* Windsor

At Windsor in the UK, sport of the highest level is on the programme this weekend. Just now the first CSI5* class of the day was jumped: a 1m45 class in two phases. The victory went to Victor Bettendorf. Riding Big Star des Forets (by Untouchable M), he was able to leave all the bars in the scoops and clocked off in 26.65 seconds.

This left him ahead of Matthew Sampson who took second place with Mgh Candy Girl (by Sligo Candy Boy). This combination also recorded a clear round behind their name and clocked off in 27.58 seconds. There was third place for Duarte Seabra and Hhs Washington. The 13-year-old gelding did not come close to the wood and clocked off in 29.14 seconds.

John Whitaker (Green Grass) and Olivier Perreau (GI Events Venizia d'Aguilly) finished in places four and five.
