'Bosty' unbeatable in difficult 1.50m Copa El Rey in Madrid!

This evening in Madrid, the challenging 1.50m Copa S.M. El Rey class was on the schedule. In this CSI5* event, 12 pairs started in the jump-off. Ultimately, Roger-Yves Bost recorded the fastest time with the 13-year-old SF mare, Ballerine du Vilpion (Baloubet du Rouet).

'Bosty' and his 13-year-old daughter of Baloubet du Rouet were over one second faster than Katrin Eckermann with the 11-year-old mare Chao Lee (Comme Il Faut). The Italian show jumper Lorenzo De Luca secured an international podium finish. Along with the 16-year-old KWPN gelding Don Vito (Quaprice Bois Margot), De Luca completed the top three.

The duo narrowly stayed ahead of Belgium's Pieter Devos. Devos finished just outside the top three, riding his nine-year-old BWP mare Casual DV Z (Cornet Obolensky). Fellow Belgian Jérôme Guery completed the Belgian celebration with a fifth place. Heading towards Paris, Guery guided his 18-year-old stallion Quel Homme de Hus (Quidam de Revel) to a faultless fifth place.
