Bucci crushes competition in CSI3* Grand Prix of Gorla Minore for home crowd

Under the Italian sun, the Gorla Minore international show concluded this week with the Grand Prix of the CSI3* competition. Of the 49 starting combinations, only five managed to complete a clear first round. A jump-off with only five combinations thus had to decide on winner and loser.

In that jump-off, it was ultimately Italian Piergiorgio Bucci who came out on top. In front of the home crowd, he was able to jump a clear round in the saddle of Cochello (by Casall) in a time of 40.99 seconds. This made him the outright winner and was just under five (!!!) seconds faster than Romain Duguet who took home second place. The Swiss rider rode Hunger Games du Champ du Bois (by Elvis Ter Putte) clear through the course and clocked off in 45.31 seconds. The top three was completed by Michael Jung. He managed to ride Fischerchelsea (by Check In) to the finsih in 42.63 seconds but got one jumping fault behind his name in the process.

Tim Gredley (Imperial HBF) and Ludovica Minoli (Jus de Krack) completed the top five.
