"We're extremely grateful with the support of all stakeholders enabling us to organize our event this year", says Theo de Rooij, president of CHIO Rotterdam. "We had very positive feedback from the riders as the new date for many of them will be a very important moment of measurement on their way to the Olympics in Tokyo. We realize this 72nd edition will be very different from other editions of CHIO Rotterdam. There is little chance we can welcome the crowd to our venue this year, we're hoping to have some small COVID-19 proof hospitality. But with live TV and online broadcasting we like to ensure nobody will have to miss any rider or horse."
