Aftrer a Jump-Off with 14 only five combinations managed to produce a double clear round in the 1.45m Small Grand Prix at the Sunshine Tour. In this international CSI4* class it was Chris Burton speeding to victory aboard the 10-year-old KWPN-horse, Chedington Hazy Toulana (Toulon).
The mare was before competed by Edwina Tops-Alexander and also Marc Houtzager. Together with the New-Zealand showjumper, the 10-year-old mare was just a bit faster as France's Pénélope Leprèvost aboard her 9-year-old Djagger Semilly (Diamant de Semilly).
Norway's Cecilie Hatteland completed the stage in this Small Grand Prix aboard her 17-year-old Alex (Oklund).
The pair was followed by Chloe Winchester and her 9-year-old Icaterma (Emerald) while Emeric George completed the top five with Calisco de Terlong (Mylord Carthago). Yesterday the main class was conquered by Belgium's Dominique Hendrickx. Again Hendrickx set the record time.
Together with No-Comment de Septon (Jenson van 't Meulenhof) the Belgium show jumping rider had one rail down, placing sixth.
