Christian Ahlmann takes winning start in Hamburg

Today the first CSI5* class was competed in Hamburg. After the final round of this 1.50m class it was Christian Ahlmann who secured the victory aboard his 10-year-old  Calvino (Castelan).

All combinations qualified produced a clear round in this 1.50m course. On stage it was Ireland's Shane Breen who followed on Christian Ahlmann. Ireland's show jumping rider settled as runner-up with only 0,01 seconds difference. Aboard his Z7 Regal Don (Don VHP Z) Breen referred compatriot, Mark McAuley to the third place. 

McAuley completed the stage with the 9-year-old GRS Lady Amaro (Amaretto Darco).

The pair was followed by Fernando Martinez Sommer and Dayro Arroyave's former Lady van de Haarterhoeve (Casall). Together with the Belgian Warmblood mare, the Mexican ride advanced on Sweden's Linda Heed with Heartcore (Heartbeat).
