Cian O'Connor's Karlswood Stables welcomes Samantha McIntosh into the team

Samantha McIntosh joined the the team of Cian O'Connor's Karlswood Stables in Ireland, announced Equestrian Sports New Zealand this week. McIntosh is one of New Zealand's top riders and already competed at the Olympics, World Equestrian Games and in World Cup Finals.

“The opportunity for the job presented itself and when I weighed up the odds, I thought it was a good chance to progress,” says Sam to Sports New Zealand. "It was an easy connection as I know him and it probably took just a couple of days backwards and forwards to work out the finer details. I think we are both what the other is looking for in the role", she stated.

Cian O'Connor said on his official Instagram page: "Looking forward to welcoming top rider Sam McIntosh to Karlswood!"

According to Sports New Zealand, she will be producing top horses - seven, eight and nine-year olds- through to the highest level.
