In Valencia, the weekend just ended with the Grand Prix of the CSI3* competition. Five of the 38 competitors managed to clear the first round. A jump-off with five therefore had to decide the winner. Claudia Moore drew the longest straw in the jump-off. Riding the KWPN mare Hardesther (by Kannan), she was able to jump a clear round in 40.01 seconds.
In doing so, she was just under four (!!) seconds faster than Chloe Aston, who took second place with Akito Von Rocherath Z (by Arko II). The British rider sent the Zangersheide stallion clear through the course in 44.01 seconds. Julien Gonin and Valou du Lys (by Calvaro FC) completed the top three. Although the duo got the fastest time behind their name, a jumping fault relegated them to third place there.
Gregory Gottard (Gammelgaards Carola) and Marine Schauflaire (Obama vd Wellington) finished fourth and fifth.
