Denis Lynch claims World Cup Leipzig

Sixteen combinations qualified for the Jump-Off in the World Cup competition of Leipzig. Eventually it was Denis Lynch who set the record time aboard GC Chopin's Bushi.

First combination to set a clear Jump-Off round was Michael Jung with the 12-year-old Fischerchelsea (Check In 2). The pair stopped the chrono at exactly 35.00 seconds. Shortly after it was Denis Lynch who bested that time, crossing the finish in 33.16 seconds with GC Chopin's Bushi (Contendro II).

Lynch eventually won and was followed by Germany's Christian Ahlmann aboard the Zangersheide-stallion, Dominator 2000 Z (Diamant de Semilly). The pair stopped the clock in 33.77 seconds. Marcus Ehning, who earlier won the Championnat of Leipzig, completed the stageg aboard his trusted Comme Il Faut  (Cornet Obolensky).

Outside the stage Emilio Bicocchi followed in fourth with Evita SG Z (Verdi TN) while Jung ended fifth.
