Marcus Ehning (GER) has spoken of being “thrilled” at his dramatic eleventh hour qualification for the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix showdown at the O2 Arena in Prague.
The countdown is on for the spectacular second edition of the GC Prague Playoffs with only 48 days to go before a stunning field of 18 of the world’s best riders go for glory in the coveted LGCT Super Grand Prix.
Ehning’s last gasp qualification came in New York last weekend where he secured the final golden ticket to the unique high calibre showdown in the capital of the Czech Republic where the LGCT Super Grand Prix will unfold on Saturday 23 November.

Ehning said: “I am very happy to have finally qualified for the [LGCT] Super GP in Prague. I was very close to qualify for it last year and this year I really wanted to achieve it.
“It took the entire season but during this last event in New York Cornado NRW showed his superb quality and with the second place in the [LGCT] Grand Prix gave me the place for Prague. Because the [GC Prague Playoffs] was such a highlight I really wanted to be part of it this year. My goal was finally achieved in New York and I am thrilled to ride in the [LGCT] Super GP in Prague.”
