In a letter the FEI has announced to its riders it has decided to remove all Hubside Jumpings in St Tropez and Valence from the Calendar. In total 19 competitions are removed from the calendar, including three CSI5* events.
"The decision was taken following the non-payment of prize money by the Oranising Committee at previous CSI's held in St Tropez and Valence." states the letter. "The FEI's decision is in accordance with article 112.3 of the FEI General Regulations stating the Secretary General shall have the authority to remove any Competition and/or Event from the Calendar if justified circumstances relating to a Competition or the Event are established."
We apologise for the inconvenience caused. We hope you understand that this decision was taken to uphold the right of athletes to receive the prize money won at an Event and to preserve the integrity of our sport.
What about the future
If the organisation decides to pay all amounts due, the FEI might decide to re-allow the events on the calendar. For now the CSI3* scheduled this week is still scheduled.
