Five best riders in the world battle it out at Hubside Jumping this week

Steve, Martin, Daniel, Peder, Pieter...among others!Although the five best riders in the world are now familiar with the HUBSIDE JUMPING, its hugering, its high-level facilities and its friendly atmosphere, not all of them have experienced the samelevel of success there. Steve Guerdat, the World number one, 2012 Olympic individual goldmedallist and three-time winner of the FEI World Cup Final is the rider who has been the mostsuccessful at the French Riviera show. The rider from the Swiss canton of Jura, who will becompeting in the CSI 2* and the CSI 5* this weekend, will be keen to notch up a fourth or even afifth Hubside Grand Prix victory, after three previous wins there: once in the 5* Grand Prix in July, with Victorio des Frotards, and twice in the 2* Grands Prix, with Ulysse des Forêts. This weekend, the Swiss rider is back in Grimaud with Victorio, his star horse with four 5* Grand Prix victories in2020!

Nevertheless Guerdat will be faced with some serious competition: his fellow countrymanMartin Fuchs, the current World number 2 and European individual gold medallist, Germany’s DanielDeusser (#3), Sweden’s Peder Fredricson (#4) and Belgium’s Pieter Devos (#5) will all make it difficultfor him. And they won’t be the only ones, as all the current leading riders are also expected, such asFrance’s Nicolas Delmotte, the winner of last week’s HUBSIDE FALL TOUR 4* Grand Prix, Brazil’sMarlon Modolo Zanotelli, the winner of the 5* Grand Prix at the end of August, Great Britain’s ScottBrash (the winner of the 4* Grand Prix on 22 August), Belgium’s Niels Bruynseels ( (the winner of the4* Grand Prix on 12 July), the Netherlands Maikel Van der Vleuten (two-time winner of the 4* GrandsPrix on 21 and 28 June) and Grégory Wathelet, who won the Longines Global Champion’s Tour ofValkenswaard last weekend, the only other CSI 5* show this summer excluding the HUBSIDEJUMPING.

And what if a woman was victorious this week? Only one woman has won at the HUBSIDEJUMPING since it was launched in April 2019, right under the nose of the men: America’s LauraKraut back in September 2019. This week two serious competitors will be trying to add their nameto the HUBSIDE JUMPING’s list of winners: France’s Pénélope Leprévost, the current Olympic team 182, Chemin Camp Marin 83310 Grimaud, Francegold medallist, and America’s Jessica Springsteen, the winner of the 2019 Longines Athina OnassisHorse Show, the Longines Global Champion’s Tour of Saint-Tropez Ramatuelle.
