For Joy van 't Zorgvliet and Aquila HDC to retire from the sport

France's Haras des Coudrettes has announced the retirement of two horses. Both Aquila HDC (Ovidius) and For Joy Van 't Zorgvliet HDC (For Pleasure) will enjoy their sportive retirement after a successful career.

For Joy van 't Zorgvliet was produced at an international level by Tom Martens. In 2011 the pair placed eight at the FEI World Breeding Championships for young jumping horses. After France's Kevin Staut took over the reins. Together with the sBs-approved sire, bred by Andre Braeckevelt, Staut jumped up to the highest level, winning  seven CSI5* competitions. 

Aquila HDC was born at Stoeterij Oud Wierden. Together with Wout-Jan Van der Schans, Aquila impressed with a double clear in the CSIO5* Nations Cup competitions of Dublin and La Baule. The Haras des Coudrettes acquired Aquila at the SFN auction for 750.000 euro. After Patrice Delaveau took over the reins, resulting in a Grand Prix win in Hong Kong and La Baule.
