Germany's Hans-Dieter Dreher forced to put boots aside ...

Germany's showjumping rider, Hans-Dieter Dreher is forced to put his riding boots aside. Dreher revealed in an interview to Spring-Reiter he will undergo surgery on his cervical vertebra on December 1.

"For me it is not possible to ride horses at the moment," the German showjumping rider states. Dreher's sponsor, Peter Aregger takes over the reins of some horses.

The Swiss rider is now riding Prinz (Perigieux) and also Vestmalle des Cotis (Baloubet du Rouet).

After his surgery, Dreher wants to be back in the saddle, "but also reduce the number of horses I ride and intensity..."
