Grand Prix-horse, Callistro (30) passed away

Germany's Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmerman has announced the passing away of her 30-year-old Callistro (Calato). The Holsteiner-grey jumped up to a 1.60m Grand Prix level with the German rider.

"I am infinitely grateful for everything you have done for me and what we have been able to experience together. Your successes are too numerous to list them all. You were a national champion, German champion, winner of the Preis der Besten, you won the bronze medal at the European Championship, as well as numerous major prizes and national competitions. We traveled around the world together, and I wouldn't want to miss any of it. You had a heart of gold, and I could always count on you. You are and will remain my friend, my hero, my dream horse. Forever. Yours, Janne..."
