Amazing top sport was offered in the 1.50m CSIO5* opening class of Sopot. For a long time Sweden's Douglas Lindelöw was in the lead of the ranking, but in the end Gregory Cottard jumped to victory with the 10-year-old Cocaine du Val (Mylord Carthago).
The pair was the only to finish in under 61 seconds. As last rider at the start Germany's Tobias Meyer did a great effort, but eventually settled as runner-up with the 12-year-old Casablanca-H (Conteur). Douglas Lindelöw had to settle for a third spot.
The Swedish show jumping rider completed the stage aboard the 11-year-old Casemiro CC (Cachas).
In fourth Megane Moissonnier and Bracadabra (Pacific des Essarts) placed while Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann completed the top five with the son of Cornet Obolensky, Chesmu KJ.
