Horses and riders for the first League of Nations!

This week the new Longines League of Nations will kick-off in Abu Dhabi. The top ten nations: Ireland, USA, France, Germany, Great-Britain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Brazil will take the start.

This week €700.000 will be available in prize money. In the finals the total prize money will be €1.600.000.

New Format

The Longines League of Nations is different as the traditional Nations Cup competitions. The competition is jumped over two rounds with identical courses.

In the first round each of the four team members will take the start. The three best results will count. The top eight nations will continue to round two.

In this second round only three combinations will represent each nation. In this round each result counts. The winning team is the team with the lowest combined score after two rounds.

In case a jump-off is necessary to determine the winner, only one combination will represent each nation in this extra round.
