Last year the Nations Season was a full agenda. Eventually with the season having ended it are Belgium's Jérome Guery and Germany's jumpingrider, André Thieme who can be named best Nations Cup riders of the season. Both riders managed to produce seven clear rounds in the season.
European Champion, André Thieme did count on his DSP Chakaria (Chap I) to earn the title. The German rider managed to produce double clear rounds in Sopot, St. Gallen and Barcelona.
Jérome Guery majorly counted on his number one, Quel Homme de Hus (Quidam de Revel). The pair managed to produce a double clear in Rome as well as at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. They also impressed in Aachen and Barcelona. Aboard Milton (Mylord Carthago) Guery was faultless in La Baule and Rotterdam.
With six clear rounds Martin Fuchs, Eoin McMahon and Malin Baryard-Johnsson were just not strong enough to claim the title.
