Johanna Beckmann and Cheenook 8 take victory in first GP Qualifier at Hof Waterkant

In the 4* competition in Pinneberg, Germany, Johanna Beckmann won the first qualifier for the Grand Prix. The German rider did so with about a half-second lead.

For this victory, Beckmann sat in the saddle of Cheenook 8 (by Carell), a 13-year-old gelding. Although the top ten was dominated by local combinations, Sweden's Douglas Lindelöw managed to squeeze in and claim second place with Cheldon (by Chacco-Blue). Andre Thieme in turn concluded the podium on his champion horse DSP Chakaria (by Chap. 

Kendra Claricia Brinkop was good for fourth place with Ma Belle (by Ugano Sitte), an 11-year-old BWP mare. Philip Rüping finished fifth with Baloutaire PS (by Balou du Rouet).
