Jur Vrieling's Long John Silver N.O.P. sold to Switzerland!

Dutch showjumper, Jur Vrieling has announced the sale of his number one horse, Long John Silver N.O.P.  In the future a Swiss Young Rider will compete the grey. "The aim is to qualify for the Swiss A-team in the long term. We were aiming for Paris, but it comforts us that he arrives in a very good home!"

"The goal with Jur and Long John Silver was Paris 2024, but from time to time we have to sell horses, it is part of the job." says the rider. In September this year, Vrieling and the son by Lasino represented the Netherlands at the Longines Nations Cup finals in Barcelona and won the Consolation Nations Cup.

Also at the European Championships in Milan the combination represented their country. The career of both is endless, with cherry on top this year the home-victory at the CSIO5* Nations Cup in Rotterdam.

In the past 3 years, Vrieling and Long John Silver placed 13 times on stage, resulting in just no 600.000 euro in earnings. The combinations ended 67% in the top ten in 1.65m classes and 45% times in the top 10 in 1.60m classes.
