The Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington is almost coming to an end. Today the last classes will be jumped. Kent Farrington, who finished third in the Grand Prix yesterday, said afterwards that the level of the circuit this year was higher than usual.
"This year there were more European riders present than usual," he starts. "I think there were at least five riders from the top ten present every week which of course makes everyone put their best foot forward. In every class you had to be attentive and go for it completely, otherwise you didn't stand a chance. Everyone who won a class here certainly deserved it. The horses that have jumped here the last few weeks are the best horses in the world. I think we will see a lot of them back at the Olympics!", he concludes.
