It was a battle of time in the 1.50m CSI5* Ranking class in Sharjah. After a Jump-Off with 15 only six combinations produced a double clear round. With the stage ending in less than 0,2 seconds difference it was Dutch showjumper Kevin Jochems setting the record time with the 11-year-old daughter of FRH Quaid, Quatinka.
Great-Britain's Donal Whitaker followed as runner-up with the 14-year-old Veneno (Chacco-Blue) and was followed by compatriot William Funnell aboard the 10-year-old, Billy Picador (Billy Mexico).
In a fourth place Egypt's Amre Hamcho placed with the 13-year-old Lady Pilox (Böckmann's Lord Pezi) while Ramzy Al Duhami completed the top five aboard Manola LS La Silla (Manzanillo LS).
Yesterday's impressive winner, Henrik von Eckermann set the fastest time aboard the 10-year-old KWPN-gelding, Hollywood V. Together with the son of Mylord Carthago he settled for a seventh place.
