Kim Emmen and Katrin Eckermann deliver Cannes Stars GCL win in St-Tropez!

The second round of the Global Champions League in St-Tropez also serves as a qualification for the Grand Prix. The event was won by Philippe Rozier and the 11-year-old SF mare, Dirty Sweet (Cornet Obolensky). In the team competition, Kim Emmen led the Cannes Stars to victory!

Rozier and the daughter of Cornet Obolensky pushed Kent Farrington into second place by more than two seconds. The American followed in this 2nd round of the GCL, riding Toulayna (Toulon). Simon Delestre and the 12-year-old SF gelding, Cayman Jolly Jumper (Hickstead), completed the top three.

The French celebration continued with Edward Levy, who relegated Katrin Eckermann and Cala Mandia NRW (Capistrano) to fifth place with Catchar Mail (Diamant de Semilly).

In the team ranking, Cannes Stars won! Both Katrin Eckermann and Kim Emmen remained faultless for the team over both rounds. Eckermann stayed faultless with Cala Mandia NRW (Capistrano) and Chao Lee (Comme Il Faut). Kim Emmen kept a zero score with both Imagine (Cassini Gold) and Inflame Go (Namelus R).

Maikel van der Vleuten and Eduardo Alvarez Aznar led Madrid in Motion to second place. Van der Vleuten remained faultless with Elwikke (Eldorado vd Zeshoek) in the first round. In the second round, the Dutchman recorded one time fault with O'Baily vh Brouwershof N.O.P. (Contact vd Heffinck). With five points, the team stayed ahead of Stockholm Hearts.

For this team, Malin Baryard-Johnsson with H&M Indiana (Kashmir van Schuttershof) and Nicola Philippaerts with H&M Luna van 't Ruytershof (Levisto Z) started faultlessly. Additionally, Jessica Springsteen competed twice.
