Koen Vereecke and Oilily de Muze unbeatable in 1.50m GP qualifier of Sankt Gallen!

After a jump-off with six participants, it was former Belgian champion Koen Vereecke who claimed the top prize in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Riding the 10-year-old Oilily De Muze (bred by Joris de Brabander), Vereecke was the only one to finish faultlessly in under 47 seconds.

The Belgian duo confirmed their form, having also excelled earlier in Wiesbaden. Together with the daughter of Vigo d'Arsouilles, Vereecke narrowly stayed ahead of local rider Romain Duguet and Hunger Games Du Champ du Bois (Elvis ter Putte). Only these two pairs managed to complete the jump-off without faults.

Janika Sprunger ensured a Swiss celebration with the Belgian mare Orelie (Emerald). With just one time fault, the pair completed the top three.

Just outside the podium, Denis Lynch followed, riding the 11-year-old Vistogrand (Fantaland). In front of his home crowd, Martin Fuchs completed the top five with the 11-year-old Commissar Pezi (Commissario).

Mark McAuley on point

Earlier Mark McAuley and Fury Nocturne (breeder: Francart-Munch) jumped to victory in the CSIO5* 1.45m class. The pair was just 0.07 seconds faster as Abdulrahman Alrajhi and Babalou (Balous Bellini, breeder: Markus Schulze-Finkenbrink). Adrian Schmid secured a Swiss third place aboard Crisu 19 (Berlin, breeder: Fridolin Boos).
