Leslie Howard & Donna Speciale Dominate in $25,000 SmartPak Grand Prix at Hits Saugerties


Saugerties, New York, USA – July 24, 2020 – The Great American Summer Series, presented by Alliant Private Client, was on again last Friday as the $25,000 SmartPak Grand Prix took place at the Hits Saugerties venue.


Leslie Howard (USA) and Donna Speciale overcame a field of 32 other combinations to claim the blue ribbon. The American and the 12-year-old grey Dutch Warmblood mare (Cavalier x Concorde) registered a final time of 37.396 seconds during the tiebreaker.Before going on to win the $200,000 Purina Animal Nutrition Grand Prix two days later, Jordan Coyle (IRL) and Picador (Lupicor x Concorde) came close to earning another win at the circuit, finishing second only due to their jump-off time of 37.948 seconds.

Adrienne Sternlicht (USA) and Benny’s Legacy (Lupicor x Voltaire) completed the podium.
