On Friday evening, Marcus Ehning delivered an unbeatable performance with his horse Stargold (Stakkato Gold) in De Telegraaf Prize. "I could rely on the experience of Stargold," Ehning says afterwards. "In my opinion, that made the difference. I could navigate the jump-off very easily and quickly."
"That's why it's fun to compete in such classes," Ehning laughs. "It was a bit like in Aachen. I also started last in the jump-off there and managed to win the Grand Prix. It says nothing about me but a lot about my horse!"
Focus on...
"Now the focus is on the World Cup on Sunday. After that, if the horses stay in form, I hope to work towards the Olympic Games in Paris. Of course, if I can qualify. That will be the first task after Amsterdam."
