In Sopot, Poland, there was jumping at CSI5* level this weekend. The main event on Saturday was a 1m50 class with jump-off. In this class not only eternal fame was at stake, it could also earn points for the Longines ranking. Twelve combinations managed to stay clear in the first round. A jump-off with twelve therefore had to be decisive.
In that jump-off, it was Swiss Martin Fuchs who came out on top. He rode the 9-year-old Zaffiro Blu di Franciacorta (by London Eurocommerce) clear in 40.29. In doing so, he did just slightly better than Gudrun Patteet who rode Sea Coast Monalisa van't Paradijs (by Bamako de Muze) to second place. This combination left all 1m50 high obstacles in the scoops and clocked off in 41.28 seconds. Tomasz Miskiewicz and Catsigo de Amor (by Cascadello) completed the top three after a clear round in 43.78 seconds.
There were fourth and fifth places for Frederik Spetz (Flanagan) and Tina Lund (Cordani PS).
