Whoever says Hamburg naturally immediately thinks of the world-famous Derby and guess what... tonight the moment had finally arrived. Fourteen combinations entered this mythical test and in the end one man managed to secure a German victory: Marvin Jüngel. With Koradina R (by Lancoon), Jüngel managed to complete the derby without any faults and did so in the fastest time too: 100.04 seconds.
Karl-Heinz Markus and Bingo (by Balou du Rouet) took home second place. They too managed to get through the course without any jumping faults. However, their time of 104.25 seconds fell just short of snatching victory from Jüngel. Henry Turrell was the only non-German rider in the top five. His ride in the saddle of Rocco (by Cardento) earned him the third spot on the podium with a time of 110.35 seconds.
Hendrik Sosath (Cadora) and Carolyn Krellmann (Levistos Best Kept Secret) completed the top five.
