Mathieu Billot takes Grand Prix-victory in Cabourg in front of home crowd

The 3* competition of Cabourg concluded with the Grand Prix over 1.55m. The French clearly were eager to keep the victory in their home country, in which Mathieu Billot succeeded.

The podium was dominated by the French with the victory in the hands of Mathieu Billot, who was in the saddle of Quel Filou 13 (by Quidam's Rubin) to take this prize. They stayed ahead of compatriot Christophe Grangier, who was second with Catch Boom Bang (by Cornet's Prinz). Britain's William Funnell put himself between the French violence and claimed third place with Equine America Billy Marmite.

Only Alexandra Ledermann, also a French rider, was able to cross the finish line with no faults. With Requiem de Talma (v. Cento) she came in fourth place. The British Amy Inglis didn't let Pepper d'Or (v. Zinedine) touch a pole but payed with their time for this effort. With three time faults, the pair concluded on five.
